About Weslyan Heritage
Who We Are
Faith-informed. Community-focused. People-centred.
Weslyan Heritage for Development (WHD) is a faith-informed, community-focused civil society organisation committed to advancing gender equality, social justice, and sustainable development. WHD works within religious and community spaces to prevent gender-based violence, promote access to quality education, and strengthen individual and institutional capacity through training and empowerment initiatives.
The organisation advances good health and well-being through awareness creation, counselling, and faith-based support systems, while fostering peace, justice, and strong institutions by engaging religious leaders and community stakeholders in dialogue, advocacy, and transformative action. Anchored in values of inclusion, dignity, and accountability, WHD integrates faith-driven strategies to localise and accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring lasting and people-centred development outcomes.
Founded in 2025 and registered in 2026, WHD is led by an experienced Governing Board and works from Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria.
